Our Lady of Fatima Shrine Project

Updated 1/9/15

Dear Friend of Our Lady of Fatima,

Thank you for your interest in our project. At the request of the retreat house, the Our Lady of Fatima Retreat Group, under the leadership of our Captain, Joe DiGiandomenico, took on the challenge of renovating the existing statues and providing them with a new home, which allows safer and easier access, as well as provide a welcome space for meditation.

Designed by the Philadelphia architectural firm Daley and Jalboot, who have much experience in church and shrine design, this exceptional design provides a structure worthy of Our Lady and lets in the beauty of our natural surroundings.

Under the leadership of Buzz Cerino and Dave Crawford, construction professionals and members of the Our Lady of Fatima Retreat Group, we have completed Phase One of the construction process. The ground has been cleared, the foundations are in and the walls are up. The structure is up and the brick paths are in place.

Phase Two is now complete. We have completed erection of the steel structure. The roof is on and the electrical wiring is done. The stone floor and stairs are in. The statues are set.

Our Dedication Service

Phase Three completed the project, providing the finished materials such as the walkway, benches, finished hardscaping and landscaping work, and the setting of the statues. We have reached the end of Phase Three in time for our January Retreat. The benches, kneelers, and candle holders are on order, plaques are being finalized now, and the walkway is in place. there is still plenty of time to order your brick or paver to honor or memorialize a loved one. Your inscribed brick will simply replace a blank brick currently in it's place

It is our hope to reach as many people as possible, via this website, and ask that they join us,  for retreat if possible, and also in support of our mission to provide this shrine. It’s as easy as clicking on the Paypal link here: www.paypal.com. While major donations are always appreciated, it is the accumulation of $25, $50, and $100 donations that will make this Shrine a reality and a place of peace and prayer for years to come.

We would like to thank you once again for considering our appeal. We hope to create a space of peace and prayer for retreatants for years to come. We respectfully ask that you help us make this dream come true.

Thank you.
